8 million people. 3,300 events. One message: No Kings.

And it’s because of you.

You showed up. You transformed streets, beaches, parks, and even weddings into one of the largest single-day nonviolent protests in modern American history. Across all fifty states, people took to the streets to reject authoritarianism and demand accountability.

But moments like this are not endpoints. They are sparks. 🔥

We are living through a time where global and local struggles are intertwined. As we fight for Palestinian liberation amid rising fascism and devastating war, we also confront injustice right here at home. The despair is real. But so is the growing public anger.

And anger, when organized, becomes power.

Locally, we continue to face state violence in many forms:

Qualified immunity that shields officers who are untrained and unequipped to respond to mental health crises #JusticeForStevenBarrier #JusticeForStevieJones #JusticeForEverardWalker

Prosecutorial systems that prioritize convictions over truth and justice
Investigations that leave out critical facts, reinforcing cycles of harm
These systems don’t just fail individuals. They lay the groundwork for continued oppression of entire communities — our citizens, our voters, our workforce, our economic backbone. #ChallengeWrongfulConvictions #TruthOverTechnicalities

This is why the fight for Abdus matters.

Wrongful convictions are not isolated mistakes. They are symptoms of a system that too often values control over justice.

So what comes after No Kings?

We organize.
We educate.
We mobilize.
We build sustained, collective action.

Join us in New Haven, CT as we prepare for May Day.

Let this not be a moment we remember. Let it be a movement we continue. ✊🏾
