Hello People
If you cannot do door knocking, rallying, lobbying or donations there is more you can do to support the cause. Flood their phone lines and voicemails with your concern.
Hello, my name is [Name], and I am a constituent calling from [City or Zip Code].
I am asking the Senator/Representative to support and pass the Wrongful Conviction Relief Act.
Connecticut should not be incarcerating innocent people. Every wrongful conviction harms families, wastes taxpayer dollars, and delays justice.
Instead of spending public money imprisoning innocent people, those resources should be invested in what our communities actually need: addressing staff shortages, expanding mental health and addiction services, supporting family connection programs like family days, and ensuring the office that reviews compensation for exonerees is properly funded.
I am asking the Senator/Representative to take action and support the Wrongful Conviction Relief Act to help end wrongful convictions in Connecticut. Can we, at the FreeAbdus Campaign, count on you?
Thank you for your time.
