Charges on the Treviño brothers and Melendez have been updated. Records show that Melendez he is charged with kidnapping, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and for possession of marijuana. His bond as well has been raised to 1.5 million and has gone from facing murder charge to a capital murder charge. Christian as well is now facing capital murder. The argument for their capital murder is that Quintanilla was kidnapped and his jewelry was stolen. 
The Treviño's brothers bond has been reduced to $150,000.
