To all who signed this petition,

Following my last update, many of you are no doubt aware of Mama's death just 1 month and 6 days following her capture / collaring.  This has been a heartbreaking experience shared by many of us who got to know her over the 7 years this cat has been visiting the Sweetwater Wetlands. 

There are many among the scientific community who chalk the death of this 8-plus year-old cat off as "coincidence" and many others who still pass off the death and disturbance of these wild creatures as necessary "collateral damage." They do not see the joy, inspiration, and anecdotal data which these exceptional creatures offer.

 If you wish to see Mama's death not go to waste, but rather, this beautiful, gentle wildcat act as a martyr to protect her species, please send an email to the Arizona Game Commission demanding they revoke the BIT research permit.
