Sura is a 9 year old German Sheppard who was taken from her home by the Humane Society of Hartford County. My brother whom was not home at the time when the incident occurred was charged with 30 days jail time and probation. The 30 days was suspended however he could have walked away with no charges if he agreed to euthanasia her. Of course he said no to that. Sura was let out accidentally by a younger child and came face to face to another dog. The dog attacked Sura leaving her with more injuries than the other dog sustained. Family members asked before the court hearing if they could adopt Sura. They have property with land where she should run free and live out the rest of her days. The breeder of Sura also asked to take her in. He has sanctuary were dogs can go to live out their final days. Nothing was granted but jail time and probation. My brother and his wife are good people who took great care of Sura. This is heartbreaking for them to know Sura will die alone and or with strangers. Please help Sura get back to her family even if that is with extended family members. #freesura
