The campaign "No Kid Hungry," in partnership with New York City Public Schools, has free summer meals food trucks delivering free meals in the Bronx, Manhattan, and Brooklyn, but not in Staten Island and Queens. The goal of "No Kid Hungry" is to ensure that no child in the city goes hungry. The initiative aims to specifically target areas which historically have a low participation rate in the food-programs at physical locations. According to Feeding America, 1 in 6 children in the U.S. may face hunger. With the presence of these free summer meals food trucks, the goal is to alleviate this burden and provide our children with the necessary nutrition they need to thrive. There are currently food trucks in the Bronx, Manhattan and Brooklyn, but no trucks in Queens and Staten Island. Please, support this petition and take a stand against child hunger in New York City.
