Free my loved one Jordan Jay Wood from unjust imprisonment

Free my loved one Jordan Jay Wood from unjust imprisonment
The Issue
This petition is for a young man that I consider as family, who I regard as my own son, he is suffering under an unjust system. His tragic past should have paved the way for support, not incarceration. As a looked-after child who witnessed his mother’s death and endured life in a neglectful home, he was left adrift when his siblings were adopted and separated from the family unit.
Recently, he faced a series of heartbreaking events that escalated to a crisis point. After being manipulated and attacked, he had a breakdown and was pushed into acts of desperation. During a fragile mental state, after experiencing a stabbing and other traumatic incidents, he unintentionally in an act of desperation, caused damages to property by arson. In a moment of deep distress, he set his world on fire, and 2 weeks before he had tried to take his life yet here he is instead of receiving psychiatric care, being met with criminal charges. I have asked the MP from the locality of Southend on sea for urgent intervention with out a reply and time is running out.
Despite these visible cries for help, he has been denied a fundamental mental health assessment, has had no clothing or belongings or contact with the people who care about his well being nor has he been given the basic dignity of a phone call. This is not the justice he deserves. He requires compassion and appropriate mental health intervention. Current actions have failed him, a clear indication of systemic neglect.
Instead he is facing a possible 30-year prison sentence, he should be transferred to a mental health facility where he can receive the comprehensive evaluation and treatment he desperately needs. I am asking for and demanding an immediate review of his case, starting with a thorough mental health assessment and provision of legal support that allows him an advocate.
Please sign this petition to urge the authorities to prioritize humane treatment over unnecessary incarceration. Help us raise our voices to shift the focus from punishment to recovery. Let's advocate for a system that rehabilitates rather than punishes those who need our help the most.
