Petition to Marvel Studios to produce a film based on the character Loki, portrayed by Tom Hiddleston

The character Loki, as portrayed by Tom Hiddleston in the films "Thor," “Thor 2,” and "The Avengers" (2012), has become one of the most recognizable and cherished film characters in recent years. Hence, we respectfully yet strongley request Marvel put into action a full-length feature film production based on the Marvel character Loki portrayed by Tom Hiddleston.

In 2013, the MTV Movie Awards reported Tom Hiddleston/Loki received a staggering 80+% of the overall votes in its Best Villain category, winning by an unprecedented landslide in a category with strong contenders such as Tom Hardy/Bane from “The Dark Knight Rises” and Javier Bardem/Silva in “Skyfall.”

Marvel's own Kevin Feige stated during a Q & A with Moviefone: "“I’ve been surprised and happy that so many cast members and characters have gotten that response. Hiddleston is a case in himself. We discovered that when we were going around the world promoting the movie, in Moscow and in the U.K. and in Rome, and all these people behind the barricades at the premieres were holding ‘Loki’s Armies’ signs or wearing homemade helmets with horns on it. We sat around years ago saying we needed a villain in the MCU, as complex and dynamic as Magneto is. Magneto is one of the best villains in both the comics and in the movies. The way that Tom brought Loki to life, with all of those different emotions and up to Hulk smashing him into the ground, we’re already having fun with Tom on the set of ‘Dark World.’ We hope to have that continue. Even if you didn’t read comics or weren’t versed in mythology and had no idea who Loki was -- and he’s kind of out there with his big horns -- they responded to him, particularly women. Tom is an amazing looking specimen but also because of that darkness, I think they find a sexiness with him as a badboy” [http://www.comicbookmovie.com/fansites/MarvelFreshman/news/?a=67750].

We feel Loki (as portrayed by Tom Hiddleston), due to the astounding following both the character and actor have earned as a result of the Marvel films, more than warrants further exploration of his story. We believe such an endeavor would not only be profitable and successful but provide a larger view for general audiences of the incredibly complex and diverse personality a well-known villain of the Marvel universe is gifted with. To explore this darker side of the Thor storyline would be to give credit to a compelling individual, his remarkable portrayer and an appreciative audience that feels a fierce loyalty to both in an unprecedented way.

Simply put: He has an army.
