I wish this was a different update to be writing.

Every time the phone rings, every message that comes through, my stomach drops. As a family, we're living from update to update, hoping for some sign that things have improved, but instead the news continues to get harder to hear.

We have now been told that Mum and Craig are surviving on water alone. They are both becoming weaker, and with every passing day our fear grows. The reports we are receiving paint a picture that no family should ever have to imagine, let alone live through.

What makes it even harder is knowing how little they are asking for.

Mum has reportedly asked for vitamins and the chance to speak to her children. That's it. Not special treatment, not anything extraordinary. Just basic human kindness.

The British Embassy has already provided essential supplies, including vitamins, prescription glasses and other everyday items, and we've been told those supplies were accepted. Yet they still haven't reached Mum and Craig.

As their son, it's impossible not to think about the little things. Whether Mum knows how many people are fighting for her. Whether Craig knows he hasn't been forgotten. Whether they have any idea how desperately we are trying to bring them home.

Earlier this month, more than one hundred members of our family and our closest friends signed a letter asking them to end their hunger strike. Every signature came from someone who loves them, someone who wants to hug them again, laugh with them again and simply know they are safe.

More than two weeks later, we've been told that letter still hasn't been delivered.

That has broken my heart.

They don't know what we wrote. They don't know how frightened we are. They don't know that every single day we wonder when we'll hear their voices again.

A new Government has now inherited responsibility for this case, and with that comes a chance to take a different approach. This situation has become too serious to drift any longer. We need urgency. We need leadership. We need meaningful action before it is too late.

We are asking for immediate consular access, urgent medical care, for the supplies waiting for them to finally be handed over, for our family letter to be delivered, and for Mum and Craig to be allowed to speak to the people who love them.
