Over the last few days, our family has made one of the hardest decisions we've had to make.

We have written a letter to Mum and Craig asking them to end their hunger strike.

That wasn't an easy letter to write. Every word came from a place of love, worry and hope. We understand why they have taken this stand. We understand the desperation that led them here. But as their family, we need them home more than we need them to keep sacrificing themselves.

Whether they ever get to read our words, we simply don't know. We just hope they do.

At the same time, new reports have emerged from inside the prison describing a serious deterioration in both of their health. They suggest they are being denied appropriate medical care while continuing their hunger strike, and that their condition is becoming increasingly concerning. While we cannot independently verify every detail, hearing these reports as their children is heartbreaking.

As difficult as this is, I don't want this update to be about losing hope.

Tomorrow I will be in Parliament meeting MPs from across the political spectrum to keep pushing for Mum and Craig. More people are speaking about them than ever before. More organisations are getting involved. More voices are refusing to let them disappear.

That is because of you.

Every person who has signed the petition, donated, shared their story, written to an MP or simply spoken their names has helped build this momentum. You have reminded us that we are not facing this alone.

Please keep going.

If you have not yet written to your MP, now is the time. It genuinely makes a difference. Every letter tells those in positions of influence that people are still watching, still caring and still expecting action.

As their son, there are days where this feels impossible. But every message of support, every signature and every act of kindness helps us believe that Mum and Craig have not been forgotten.
