More MPs are raising Mum and Craig’s case. Their names are being spoken about more often in Parliament, across Government and increasingly on the international stage. Their case has also been raised during recent discussions at the Council of Europe, and support continues to grow beyond the UK.

Behind the scenes, more organisations and individuals are stepping forward to help. The McCain Institute in the US has confirmed it will be advocating for Mum and Craig alongside other foreign nationals being wrongfully detained.

I know I have asked this before, but it has become one of the most effective ways you can help. MPs listen when their constituents contact them, and every letter or email helps reinforce that this matters. It keeps Lindsay and Craig’s names in front of decision makers and reminds them that they cannot simply be forgotten.

Last week was Mum and Craig’s 10th wedding anniversary. Next week Kieran gets married. There will be two empty seats that should never be empty. I keep thinking about the ordinary moments they are missing. The celebrations, the family photos, the laughter, the memories that can never be recreated. These are moments they should be sharing with all of us rather than being on hunger strike to simply try to make themselves heard.

As a son, there are very few words that can truly describe how difficult it is knowing that, while waiting for the phone to ring with good news. More than anything, we just want them home, safe, together and back where they belong.
