Koda, a loyal and loving dog, has been trapped in an unsuitable shelter for approximately seven months. His story is heart-wrenching. He was once a source of comfort and protection to his owner who was in an abusive relationship. Unfortunately, due to threats from her ex-abuser, she was forced to give him up. Later on, Koda saved his foster mother from a sexual assault incident.

Despite being a hero, he has been confined in a kennel with no privilege of outdoor activities for about 7 months now - this is against the Animal Welfare Act which states that all animals should have access to sufficient exercise (source: American Veterinary Medical Association). This prolonged confinement not only affects his physical health but also causes emotional distress.
