Dear fellow Citizens,

We, the undersigned, appeal to you to join us in supporting the release of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. As concerned citizens committed to upholding democratic values and the rule of law, we believe that Kejriwal's arrest undermines the principles of justice and fairness that are fundamental to our democracy.

1. Presumption of Innocence: We stand by the principle that every individual, including Chief Minister Kejriwal, is innocent until proven guilty. His arrest should not be interpreted as evidence of guilt, and he should be allowed to continue his duties as Chief Minister until proven otherwise.
2. Questionable Timing of Arrest: Kejriwal's arrest just before the upcoming general elections raises suspicions of political motivations behind the timing. Such actions threaten to disrupt the electoral process and erode trust in our democratic institutions.
3. Legal Concerns: There are legitimate legal concerns regarding the basis of Kejriwal's arrest, particularly in light of Section 19 of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act 2002 (PMLA). The lack of concrete evidence and reliance on uncorroborated statements highlight the need for a fair and impartial legal process under the rule of law and the Constitution of India.
4. Allegations of Political Interference: There are alarming allegations of political interference in the investigative process, including pressuring witnesses to give statements against Kejriwal. Such actions undermine the credibility of the case against him.
5. Vicarious Liability: The application of legal provisions regarding vicarious liability to political parties raises complex legal questions that warrant careful examination and clarification.
6. Respect for Public Mandate: Kejriwal was elected by the people of Delhi to serve as their Chief Minister, and any attempt to remove him from office or impede his ability to perform his duties should be viewed as a direct affront to the democratic mandate given by the citizens.
7. Call for Fair Trial: We demand that Kejriwal be given the opportunity to defend himself in a fair and transparent trial, free from undue harassment or coercion.
8. Upholding the Rule of Law: It is imperative to uphold the rule of law by ensuring that legal processes are followed correctly and that individuals are not arbitrarily detained or deprived of their rights.
9. Stability and Governance: The continued detention of Kejriwal threatens the stability and effective governance of Delhi, potentially disrupting vital public services and development initiatives.
10. Appeal for Fairness: We appeal to the authorities to treat Kejriwal with fairness and justice, in accordance with the principles of democracy and human rights.
11. Concerns about Non-Level Playing Field: Kejriwal's arrest under Section 19 of the PMLA, without substantial grounds, raises concerns about the fairness of the electoral process and undermines the basic structure of the Constitution. This action threatens the integrity of our democracy and the principles of a level playing field for all political parties.

We urge you to stand with us in solidarity with Chief Minister Kejriwal and demand his immediate release. Let us uphold the values of justice, fairness, and democracy that are the bedrock of our nation, as we place our trust in the judiciary to uphold these principles.

7. निष्पक्ष सुनवाई का आह्वान: हम मांग करते हैं कि केजरीवाल को अनुचित उत्पीड़न या दबाव से मुक्त, निष्पक्ष और पारदर्शी सुनवाई में अपना बचाव करने का अवसर दिया जाए।
8. कानून के शासन को कायम रखना: यह सुनिश्चित करके कानून के शासन को कायम रखना जरूरी है कि कानूनी प्रक्रियाओं का सही तरीके से पालन किया जाए और व्यक्तियों को मनमाने ढंग से हिरासत में नहीं लिया जाए या उनके अधिकारों से वंचित न किया जाए।
9. स्थिरता और शासन: केजरीवाल की निरंतर हिरासत से दिल्ली की स्थिरता और प्रभावी शासन को खतरा है, जिससे संभावित रूप से महत्वपूर्ण सार्वजनिक सेवाएं और विकास पहल बाधित हो सकती हैं।
10. निष्पक्षता की अपील: हम अधिकारियों से लोकतंत्र और मानवाधिकारों के सिद्धांतों के अनुसार केजरीवाल के साथ निष्पक्षता और न्याय के साथ व्यवहार करने की अपील करते हैं।
11. समान आधार की चिंता: बिना पर्याप्त आधार के पीएमएलए की धारा 19 के तहत केजरीवाल की गिरफ्तारी, चुनावी प्रक्रिया की निष्पक्षता के बारे में चिंताएँ बढ़ाती है और संविधान की बुनियादी संरचना को कमजोर करती है। यह कार्रवाई हमारे लोकतंत्र की अखंडता और सभी राजनीतिक दलों के लिए समान अवसर के सिद्धांतों को खतरे में डालती है।
