To H.E. Muliaman Dharmansyah Hadad, AMBASSADOR
Please, free M. Jakub alias Jakob Fabian Skrzypski
Your Excellency,
After establishing contact with Mrs Lafifar Anum Siregar who is Mr Jakub alias Jakob Fabian Skrzypski’s lawyer, we, a group of his friends, have decided to write this letter to testify regarding his reputation on his behalf, as we are firmly convinced of his innocence.
We met Jakob a few years ago through multiple local, cultural, social and environmental associations in Switzerland - country of his residency - in particular through the “Reactiva” association, which is dedicated to the development of a local and ecological agriculture or positive money..
It is in this context that we have had the opportunity of getting to know Jakob who is an open-minded person, always keen on being an active member of society and offering his time to others.
Jakob stands out by the diversity of his hobbies, as he is not only actively invested in agricultural associations, but also in cultural events. For example, he participates in the local musical scene by doing volunteering work for the artistic association “Décal’quai”, and he is also passionate about oriental cinema.
Moreover, his curiosity for new and different cultures lead him to travel on a regular basis in many countries and to meet local population with the goal of expanding his knowledge and to share his adventures with his friends through picture galleries and documented anecdotes and stories.
Everyone who met and know Jakob have been extremely surprised at the news of his arrest because his pacifist nature and his moral righteousness could never lead us to believe that he could one day be accused of anything illegal, or even activities linked to any kind of violence.
Our astonishment has been all the more important due to the fact that Jakob is a simple, modest person, indifferent about money as proven by his involvement in volunteer work.
His interest in firearms is typical in respect of the Swiss tradition, revolving around hunting, shooting sport and social events, and is not in any way linked to any form of immoral desires.
By hoping that this letter has convinced you of Jakob’s honest, righteous nature and completely void of any desire to harm anyone, we send you, Your Excellency, our best regards.

PS:
The government found photos with weapons: some were taken at the Blécherette shooting centre near Lausanne, Switzerland, and others in the Papua forest and it was an animal hunting weapon. Jakob was not with rebels but with the peaceful organization KNPB Komite Nasional Papua Barat.
Jakob is accused of political crimes; separatism. We are therefore in the field of intentions. There is no action or document proving his guilt.
What annoys Jakob is the attitude of the investigators who made problems for his lawyer and consul during the investigations and his purely political transfer to Wamena. The Polish consul was allowed to call him only when Jakob threatened with a hunger strike. The same was true for him to meet his lawyer Latifah Anum Siregar for the first time in September in Jayapura. His Swiss residence permit, B permit and other equipment are still in the hands of the investigators in Jayapura, for the time being.
Here are some people's names: Prosecutors in Wamena: Adrianus Y Tomana, Ricarda Arsenius and Febiana Wilma Sorbu The investigators in Jayapura: Lintong Simanjuntak (the leader), Niko Situmorang The inspector in Jayapura: Fernando Sanchez Napitupulu
What also annoys Jakob is the propaganda of the media who describe him as the arms and ammunition seller and collaborator of foreign services such as Orwell or Stalin. It was spread by media representatives such as Ahmad M Kamal (Jayapura Police), Gatut Setiawan (immigration) and Dedi Prasetyo (National Police).
Jakub reminds us of the story of the two French journalists, Thomas Dandois and Valentine Bourrat, arrested in Wamena for unlicensed journalism, conversations with separatists, but detained and tried in Jayapura and kept in very good conditions, thanks to the pressure of President Holland...)
There are 3 men, local Papuans, who were arrested in Wamena in September for actually trafficking ammunition. Eky Wanena, Roy Hiluka and Watlarik Hiluka, but they were investigated and tried in Jayapura. The authorities want to separate Jakob from his lawyers, activists and journalists. That's why they transferred him to Wamena. It's quite a plan, actually.
