Greta Thunberg, the internationally respected climate and human rights activist, has been detained by Israeli authorities after joining a peaceful aid flotilla to Gaza.

Alongside Greta, several humanitarian and environmental activists from different countries remain in custody.

Reports describe lack of food and water, exhaustion, and degrading treatment. Israel denies this — but the testimonies are deeply worrying.
