However, my limitations do not diminish my fervor to see justice served. It's a grotesque irony that those protecting life, like Captain Paul Watson, are persecuted and prosecuted, while those brutally ending lives of whales and dolphins walk free.

Captain Watson, a leading figure in marine conservation, has been detained in Denmark, with authorities considering his extradition to Japan. These actions have been taken under the charges that are far from objective truth. Those familiar with Captain Watson know that his mission is one of peace, conservation, and advocacy for the voiceless marine life. In fact, every year approximately 20,000 dolphins and porpoises are tragically slaughtered in Japan, according to data collected by the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society.

The real criminals in this narrative are those who engage in this senseless killing of marine animals, not those who work tirelessly to prevent it. Captain Watson should not be punished for his admirable efforts to protect marine life. Instead, Japanese authorities must be held accountable for the continued unnecessary slaughter of dolphins and whales.

Let's not let a compassionate defender of marine life suffer while the real perpetrators walk free.
