Free Caesar Trice — Innocent Man Imprisoned for Nearly 19 Years

Free Caesar Trice — Innocent Man Imprisoned for Nearly 19 Years
The Issue
Caesar Trice has spent nearly 19 years incarcerated for a crime he did not commit.
He was a juvenile at the time of his arrest in 2006. From the beginning, his case was built on false police identification, incentive-based testimony, and no physical or forensic evidence.
A police officer claimed he identified Caesar at the crime scene. That claim has since been proven false. Official records and 911 transcripts confirm that the officer who claimed to identify Caesar was not present at the scene.
The prosecution relied heavily on testimony from a co-defendant who later admitted he lied under oath in exchange for a plea deal. That individual served only a few years in prison and was released.
Most critically, the actual shooter provided a sworn confession nearly nine years ago, fully admitting responsibility for the crime. Despite this confession — and despite clear constitutional violations — Caesar remains incarcerated at SCI Albion in Pennsylvania.
The District Attorney involved in Caesar’s case was later removed from office for racially discriminatory conduct, raising serious concerns about the fairness of prosecutions from that time period.
Caesar has now missed nearly 18 years of his son’s life and has never lived as a free adult. His constitutional rights to due process and a fair trial were violated, and he continues to suffer under a wrongful conviction.
The Innocence Project is involved, and extensive documentation exists supporting Caesar’s innocence.
We call on Pennsylvania officials and the courts to review this case immediately and grant Caesar Trice the justice and freedom he deserves.
An innocent man should not spend his life in prison because the system refuses to admit it was wrong.
Bring Caesar Trice home.
