As an educator of over 22 years I have seen the impact that is made when students have the food and nutrition they need. If a child is hungry they cannot learn. I am starting this petition because I believe that if students are required to be at school for more than 4 hours by law then we need to provide meals for them.

We are required by law to provide all other school supplies and textbooks in order for them to learn so why not their basic needs? Free breakfast and lunch for all during full school days should be something we put our tax dollars to. This is more important than a high speed rail or many other initiatives that do not impact the future of America. I believe a society is defined by how we treat our children. This should be a priority.
