FREE BRANDON SPENCER
The Issue
In 2014, Brandon Spencer was sentenced to 40 years in prison for a crime that he did not commit. He was accused of firing shots into a party at USC, injuring four. Spencer has always maintained his innocence and all who know him are certain that he was not the shooter. He was arrested with no evidence and the officers constructed a narrative to justify his arrest and close the case quickly.
Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Edmund W. Clarke Jr. sentenced Spencer on April 18 2014. Brandon was 19 years old. During Brandon's trial, the prosecution presented false evidence and a false narrative to the jury, who convicted Brandon of four counts of attempted murder. Brandon Spencer is an upstanding citizen and he should have a life of success ahead of him, yet his future was ripped away with no evidence and no confession.
WE CAN STILL HELP! Sign this petition to free Brandon Spencer from his wrongful conviction. Help him reclaim his life.
DO NOT LET BRANDON SPENCER BE ANOTHER STATISTIC OF A WRONGFULLY CONVICTED, RACIALLY PROFILED, YOUNG BLACK MAN SENTENCED TO A LIFE IN PRISON. #FREEBRANDONSPENCER
