Please sign this petition to urge law enforcement in Waukesha County to allow Axel a home quarantine.

 

Axel is a three-year-old rescue who was rehomed three times in his first year of life. He has been with his forever home for the past two years.

On March 11 and Amazon driver did not follow instructions and crossed the clearly labeled do not cross line passing into the invisible fence area when Axel and I were out back. She saw him, began screaming and flailing her arms and the package. He grabbed her hand with the package… Breaking the skin.

Axel‘s rabies vaccine was due March 2. This happened March 11. Because the vaccine has lapsed waukesha County environmental health by law requires him to be quarantined in a shelter. He is at HAWS in Waukesha, where he is to receive “no human interaction” and will remain in his kennel until Friday. He is not allowed to go outside to pee or poop and have to do his business in his kennel. Daily he has moved to a new kennel with fresh food and water and his previous kennel is cleaned. This is borderline inhumane.

Axel does not have rabies.
