Because of the COVID-19 pandemic Frederick County Public Schools students are currently suffering in many different ways such as child abuse, depression, anxiety & suicide just to name a few!

By allowing high school sports to return ASAP many of these problems could be prevented by giving the kids an outlet and social support system. COVID-19 has been extremely detrimental to these children in many, many ways. Let’s not let another child succumb to any more devastation!

Surrounding county’s are allowing play and leaving our students/athletes at a disadvantage and in complete disappointment.

With regards to allowing fans to attend games/competitions - parents would much rather their student athletes play than not.
Online viewing can be set up where friends and family can watch the games/competitions via live stream to offset the lack of fans that may be allowed in the stands.

We must keep in mind this petition is for the student athletes in Frederick County, VA to be allowed to compete in their sport of choice immediately.
