We as Mets fans are not happy with the Wilpons because they were involved in the  Bernie Madoff controversy a few years ago. He took his money out of Madoff’s fund before the scheme collapsed leading many to believe that he was involved in the fraud. Federal officials Wilpons to pay out more than $100 million in compensation to Madoff’s victims. We as Met fans believe, his personal financial problem,caused Fred  and Jeff Wilpon to be too frugal on spending in salaries for Mets players  

As Palumbo told ESPN, “They asked us to be patient through the Madoff issue and to let them go through their rebuilding process, and then they

said when the time was ready, they were going to reinvest back into the team and get it ready for competitiveness. ” So far, that has not happened.and the Mets are in an uphill battle. The Mets have a manager who doesn't know what he is doing, and a general manager who does not want to spend money for better players..  I want  the Wilpons to sell the team so that the Mets can start to rebuild
