It appears that the Dept of Transportation (DOT) pulled a quickie on us giving little and late announcement to the Main St road change through Endwell and Endicott.

I just found out this morning via WBNG that the “public meeting” for the Re-Striping on Main St (Main St /Rt 17C from Hooper Rd to Rt 26 in Endicott) will be this evening from 530-730 at the Town of Union office on Main St (Rt 17c) Endwell.

This is the project that will make lane changes and effectively narrow the road, slow and clog traffic and add a center suicide lane to a new traffic pattern on Main St / Rt17C. This is NOT a good change and without a bridge connecting Endwell to Vestal and the Highway system it makes it even worse and makes little sense.

The DOT has done little to inform the public about this meeting and I have been unable to find any other announcement.

Because of the late notice, I may not be able to make this meeting or at the very least will be late due to my schedule. I urge YOU to attend and voice your objection to this project and also express your support for a  bridge between Vestal and Endwell and raise questions about the lack of this bridge. This bridge is needed!
