Effective January 28, 2022, Fraser Health plans to close Peace Arch Hospital’s Maternity Unit with no firm commitment or date for reopening. This devastating decision leaves over 100,000 people in Surrey, White Rock, Delta, and surrounding communities without suitable access to maternity services.

Our community deserves better. Fraser Health and the Ministry of Health must immediately reverse the closure decision and provide stable, long-term obstetrical and pediatric care in our community by recruiting a full complement of pediatricians.
