Save Charlie and Sharni -Action needed TODAY!

We the people of Australia, and the world, support fair process!
The case of bull mastiff-cross Charlie and shar pei-cross Sharni has sparked online outrage after the council opted to seek the euthanasia of the pets rather than opt for other options such as enforcing a dangerous dog declaration that would allow the dogs to remain with their owners under strict controls, or relinquishing them to the RSPCA for re-training and re-homing. They initially did this without professional assessment of the dogs, after they escaped their yard and were accused of killing a cat. Now, after professional assesment showing them to be of no threat to humans or dogs, they are still scheduled to be euthanized.
They were scheduled to be put down at the end of business day July 4th, unless a final appeal to the Victorian Supreme Court was launched. We have no word of their current fate, but this petition started on the 4th, and we'll submit these signatures again late Sunday night/early Monday morning the 7th with the hopes our voices will be heard and they will be saved.This petition is to delay their execution and demand they are put under dangerous dog declaration or other guidelines, or given to the RSPCA or another rescue group for assessment and/or re-homing.

RSPCA South Australia, Queensland, and 2 other rescue organisations have approached the council with the offer to take on the ownership of the dogs and have them assessed by professional animal behaviorists to determine if they could be retrained and found new homes.
Frankston chief executive Dennis Hovenden’s three paragraph response stated that the proposal was discussed by council but rejected although a reason was not provided.
