F.T.Willz was the screen name of a poet who's work was available on their accounts, mainly Myspace, from 2008 until 2013 when their account was deleted (However, most of their poems have been archived and are available to read elsewhere). Their poetry, with its dark, gritty tones, has captivated many people, myself included. For years, it has been speculated that this poet is none other than My Chemical Romance Rhythm Guitarist Frank Iero, but it has neither been confirmed, nor denied. This is where this petition comes in.

The goal of this petition is to encourage Mr. Iero to go on record and either confirm that he is F.T,Willz, or confirm that he is not. Why? Let me take you through the two possible scenarios: either he is, or he is not.

First, let's say that Frank is F.T.Willz. By coming out and confirming this, he can finally get the full credit he deserves, instead of just speculation. Similar to his music, knowing the poetry is his would give fans a deeper look into his thought process and emotions. This would have a positive impact on their view of him, as they would feel more connected with him. In addition, as the ongoing pandemic prevents shows and such from occurring, an F.T.Willz reveal would give fans content in the mean time. Not to mention, there's no cons here. What, he'd lose respect? Most fans lost their respect after the whole broken clock shenanigan, telling people he wrote edgy Myspace poetry won't hurt :) .

Now, lets say Frank is NOT F.T.Willz. That means, as of now, they are not getting credit for their work, even though it's well-deserved. Not to mention if Frank says he isn't F.T., people will stop pestering him about it (or,you know,writing petitions).

On a more serious note, Mr. Iero has posted several of their poems almost word for word under his own name. While most people point to this as proof of the idea they're one and the same, it also means that if they are not, frank is guilty of plagiarizing, and should be held accountable. If this is the case, I understand if he would be hesitant to come clean, as to avoid persecution. However, telling would be the most morally right thing to do, and people would have much more respect for someone who admits their mistakes and apologizes, rather than trying to hide it.

NOTE: If F.T.Willz is not Mr. Iero, but would prefer to stay anonymous, they are perfectly allowed to. the point of this petition is not to reveal Willz's identity, but instead take the prime suspect and either confirm he is the one in question, or acquit him. This is about getting a definite answer about Frank Iero, not F.T.WIllz themself.

Either way, whether Frank is or isn't F.T.Willz, giving a definitive answer will lead to more positives than negatives, and I hope Mr. Iero will choose to do the right thing and come forward. I understand that this sense of mystery may be fun, but to quote F.T. themself, "fun is short-lived, just like everything else, because everything that ever is has to end."
