MBTA recently proposed changes to the existing commuter rail schedule for the Providence line to be effective 5/23/2016. The proposed changes include eliminating Ruggles station stop for peak hour trains. Removing Ruggles stop for the trains traveling to and from Providence will be detrimental to all medical staff members and patients who take connecting shuttle buses from Ruggles to Longwood Medical Area. In addition, the changes will create unnecessary hardship to all the employees and students in the area who utilize Ruggles train stop. This petition will urge MBTA General Manager to keep the existing schedule with the stop at Ruggles station for Providence trains.
