"The level of arrogance is breathtaking."

At Monday's BOE meeting, Frances Cogelja - who thinks saying she has a First Amendment right to make homophobic comments is equal to an apology - displayed a level of arrogance, defiance, and disdain for the public that further highlights her inability to serve our community.

• She yelled at a resident sharing statistics about the number of LGBT youth who attempt suicide
• Declared that she doesn't respect or care about people who disagree with her opinion on the LGBT curriculum
• Called private citizens who weren't present to defend themselves "arrogant"
• Seemingly threatened another constituent with physical violence

She is unfit to remain on any municipality's Board of Education, especially one that represents a community as diverse as Hackensack.
