On July 19, 2017, Judge Bryan Round awarded Danishes’ two children to their father after Danishe’ didn’t appear in Court.  Danishe’ didn’t appear because the Judge had his law clerk send Danishe’s Attorney an email on July 18, 2017.  The email stated, “Danishe’ didn’t have to appear in Court.”  A plan was devised and carried out for Danishe’ to be a “No Show” in Court the next day.  Danishe’ did as her Attorney directed by Judge Round not to appear.   When she didn't show for Court Judge Round awarded Danishe’s children to the father who was homeless at the time he was given custody.

 The father and his wife haven’t been able to provide a stable loving home for the James children.  The father has been evicted from several different places he called “home”.  The children ran away from their father’s home after being neglected and physically abused by the father and his new wife.  The children were removed from their father’s home and placed in the custody of KVC Kansas Children’s Protective Services.  The children have been in KVC Kansas care now going on 14 months, and the Mother has been fighting since then for the return of her children.

Danishe' is employed as an “LPN” Licensed Practical Nurse with a Specialty in Pediatrics.  Danishe' Herron-James do not have a criminal record and a homeowner that can provide for her children.  When the children were in the care of the Mother, they were active in soccer, baseball, basketball, chess, and UMKC Debate Team.  Now the extra-curricular activities are on hold because the Mother visitation is only once a week.  This is a travesty of our courts and needs to be corrected

 The MO and KS Courts continue to fail the James children in forcing visitation with an abusive father. Recently, Mr. James attacked his older child in a Walmart parking lot in Overland Park, KS.  The child sustained scratches on the back of his neck, and bruises on his body.  There is an open investigation on these charges, and the father’s visitation is now supervised pending the outcome of the investigation.  KVC has continues to overlook the father behavior and safety and put the children in harms way forcing to see their father. Mr. James the father has several DUIs, and an alcohol addiction and is known to be violent when intoxicated.

 Upon further investigation, the GAL Ms. Alford-Sorensen who represented the James children in the “No Show” case in Missouri; bragged to Danishe’ that her father is a big-time Legislator in the state of Kansas.  Ms. Alford-Sorensen is an advocate for the father’s that are fighting for custody of their children, so this would be a conflict of interest with her representing the James children.  Ms. Alford-Sorensen’s father is Representative Steve Alford who seated several committees for children in Overland Park, KS.  See racist statement that Rep. Alford made in January 2018 about African-Americans.

 Ms. Alford-Sorensen went across state-line telling lies, and making false accusations against Danishe’.  The Judge in Kansas is now biased and constantly references the lies told by Ms. Alford-Sorensen against Danishe’. The Judge has stated in Court that he is biased against Danishe’ but won't recuse himself from the case after Danishe's attorney filed the proper papers in Court.  (Transcripts need to be pulled for proof of his comments made toward Danishe' in Court) 

Danishe’ provided a stable home full of love and support for 11 years before her children were taken from her.    Further the James children have made it clear to KVC, DCF, and foster parent that they want to go home to their Mother.  The James children haven't been able to voice their opinion as it relates to their well-being.  The Judge on either side MO/KS ever interviewed the James children on which parent they prefer to be their primary guardian.

Danishe’ has been fighting to get her children back since 2017, and will continue to fight until this wrong is made right.  The Court need to interview the children and do a home study on both parents and make their decision.  The evidence in this case is clear that the James children should be returned to their Mother.
