On our honeymoon last year my husband and I had the honor of meeting Janessa, the woman who founded Roatan Rescue in Honduras. Janessa and I hit it off pretty quickly as we both have had a colorful past battling addiction, and we both had won the fight. She has used her past to drive her in running this wonderful sanctuary that not only takes in strays while helping rehabilitate them, but also provides secure employment for citizens of this third world country AND helps feed children who are in need. She gave up her life in the US to help others in a country that is struggling economically now more than ever since the pandemic began. After 3 years of taking care of these families and animals they are now being threatened to shut down. Please help show your support and bring attention to this issue. I admire Janessa and what she has done with her life. We need more people like her, and we cannot let these families and sweet animals down.
