Within hours of the apparent bombings at the Boston Marathon, FOX News contributor Erik Rush concluded, with no evidence whatsoever, that "Muslims" were responsible and tweeted, "Muslims are evil. Let's kill them all."
Whether you're old enough to remember the official repression and wave of hate crimes that came down hard on Arab, Muslim, and South Asian communities in the wake of September 11, 2001, you are living now in a country where such hate against a whole community is routinely expressed, with terrible consequences. No matter who proves to be ultimately responsible for the attacks in Boston, we cannot allow the same kind of fear- and hate-mongering to be the dominant response to this tragedy. We have to speak out, and demand that irrational hate and demonizing is unacceptable.
We demand that FOX News fire Erik Rush and fully repudiate his hate-filled statements.

It is inconceivable that your contributor Erik Rush's comments, "Muslims are evil. Let's kill them all," could be allowed to go without consequences by any news organization with a shred of integrity. He should be fired immediately for these comments, and his hateful statements thoroughly rejected and repudiated by Fox News.
