Request Teen Choice Awards & Fox formally apologize for disrespecting Christina Grimmie

On July 31st 2016 the Teen Choice Awards aired on FOX, which I and millions of others made a point to watch in order to see if our favorite Choice Music Web Star, Christina Grimmie would win after being nominated three years in a row. Teen Choice and Fox used their massive platform to promote #StopTheViolence, which was a segment featuring teens related to those affected by some of the worst gun violence incidents we've seen in the past few years; but did not mention Christina Grimmie. I, like many others, sat back and said, "Alright, since they didn't mention Christina here, they must be planning on dedicating a separate segment to her". Much to our dismay, this was not the case whatsoever. As the final categories were announced and Jason Derulo came out to close the show, millions of hearts collectively shattered at the realization that Teen Choice and Fox went out of their way to ignore and completely avoid addressing the terribly tragic passing of one of their own nominees. As emotional as I am right now, I simply couldn't sit back and let something like this go unapologized for. Christina Grimmie worked unbelievably hard for everything she earned, and cared for her fans so deeply that she called us her "frands". Using her picture, name, and nomination to promote for weeks leading up to the live show and then actively choosing not to mention someone who meant so much to so many people is absolutely abhorrent, and I firmly believe that #TeamGrimmie deserves a sincere apology for the blatant disrespect that has been bestowed upon us and our Angel, Christina. It would mean the world to me if you would take a moment to stand in solidarity with me and the rest of #TeamGrimmie by demanding a formal apology from Teen Choice and the Fox Broadcasting Network.
