Update: Pets Aren't Refrigerators a.k.a. "Property"

Hello again,

I just wanted to give you an update on what’s happened today with 'Boston'.

The case has been moved BACK to the county where it all started! It’s frustrating to me –– as a rightful dog-owner and someone who has been waiting patiently... I am stuck here waiting longer. This should have never been transitioned in the the first place.

The case was transitioned to another county in which the Defendant claimed they lived in. The perpetrator sat in the same courtroom today and explained to the court that they did not live there — they lived in the county in which the original documents were filed.

So… here I am, stuck… again. I feel that there are so many people who are using the court system to take advantage of innocent people like me. I'm just simply wanting the right thing to be done.

I’m frustrated but I’m sitting here... patiently waiting... wishing for my dog to simply be returned. That’s all I want! My hope is not only for the protection of animals... BUT IT IS MY DESIRE AND HOPE THAT ANIMALS IN GEORGIA AND IN MASSACHUSETTS WILL NO LONGER BE CONSIDERED THE LEGAL DEFINITION OF "PROPERTY". I hope that there will be legislation passed to further protect animals. After all, they are family members!

I hope that my experience will not only be a sounding board for animal advocates, but a sounding board for individuals who are “stuck” in the judicial system... WAITING FOR ANSWERS FROM SO-CLAIMED "PROPERTY". I hope that this will serve as a voice and that the legislature will take action!
