Greenhouse gas emissions are at an all time high and pose a serious threat to our climate and environment. One of the main sources of greenhouse gases is landfill waste. As a community, Baton Rouge can make small changes in order to reduce our waste. I am asking that Baton Rouge restaurants replace all non-recyclable plastic and styrofoam to-go items with sustainable ones, including containers, cutlery, cups, etc. made of cardboard, paper, or compostable materials.
