Foster Stray Dogs: It's Humane and Social Concern.

Foster Stray Dogs: It's Humane and Social Concern.
The Issue
I am a resident of San Carlos City, Pangasinan, Philippines. Every day, I see stray dogs wandering our streets. They are hungry, scared and often sick. This situation is not only heartbreaking but also poses health risks to our community. It's time we take action to foster these stray dogs as it's both a humane and social concern.
Stray dogs are victims of human neglect and indifference. They deserve better than life on the streets where they face starvation, disease, harsh weather conditions and the danger of traffic accidents. The World Health Organization estimates that there are more than 200 million stray dogs worldwide (WHO). In the Philippines alone, there are approximately 11.6 million strays (Philippine Animal Welfare Society).
Fostering these animals can significantly improve their lives while also benefiting our community in San Carlos City by reducing potential public health risks associated with unvaccinated strays such as rabies transmission.
We urge the local government to establish programs that encourage fostering of stray dogs among residents in our city - providing them with food, shelter and medical care until they find their forever homes.
This is not just about animal welfare; it's about us being responsible citizens who value life in all its forms.
Please sign this petition if you believe in treating every living creature right - because street dog or not, they deserve love too.
