Due to COVID-19, a traditional graduation is in question for all Fort Worth ISD Class of 2020 Seniors. Alternative options provided by the district were possibly a virtual graduation or a drive by to follow in accordance with Governor Greg Abbot's social distancing guidelines. We, the Senior Students of Fort Worth ISD , are in no way, shape, form or fashion blaming the district for the cancellation of any of our senior activities, including but not limited to graduation, nonetheless we are asking the district to reconsider our options. Surrounding districts have agreed to not completely cancel out their students senior year by pushing the dates for their activities back, although Fort Worth ISD preferred to restrain from doing that, we strongly ask for them to reconsider. Please students, parents, faculty, and staff please sign this petition to help us change the districts mind frame. All graduates deserve a TRADITIONAL graduation, we worked just as hard as the classes before us, we deserve a true ending to our Senior Year, even if there are guidelines as to how we can do so or a waiting period. #fwisdfightforchange #make2020happen
