Breed discrimination doesn't work. Pit bulls have been proven by numerous studies to not be any more dangerous than any other breed of dog. Every legitimate organization is opposed to BSL including but not limited to Cincinnati Children's Hospital, the American Bar Association, the Center for Disease Control, the American Temperament Test Society, AKC, HSUS, ASPCA, USPS, the National Animal Control Association etc. It's time we stop blaming the wrong end of the leash and start promoting education and owner responsibility of any breed. Banning one breed of dog gives us a false sense of security. All dogs have the ability to bite and harm a person or another animal. Are you aware that not only are pit bulls banned but any dog displaying and physical characteristics of a pit bull such as boxy chest and large head? This could include many mixes of dogs including boxers, labs, hounds, and any Heinz 57 mix etc. Your dog could be seized for merely it's appearance without any regards for it's behavior. It's time to ask that this law be revoked and replaced with an enhanced viscous dog ordinance that protects everyone. Please sign and share with other Fort Thomas residents.
