Preliminary Sub Division Public Hearing will be held on Wednesday, 20th November, 6pm at Huntington Town Hall on the proposed development plan for Indian Hills.

This gives us another opportunity to demonstrate the opposition to the Northwind project. Our turnout and reasoned arguments at the last public hearing were exemplary and a repeat showing will be invaluable in persuading the Board that the developer needs to think again so please attend and let the Board know your thoughts .

Speakers are normally allowed 3 minutes to say their piece although that was arbitrarily reduced to two and a half minutes at the last hearing. If you don't intend to speak your attendance and support will still be invaluable.

In an update the Town commissioned AECOM, an independent geological consultant, to verify the developer's claim that a 120 ft buffer from the Coastal Erosion Hazard line is adequate to ensure that construction activities do not exacerbate erosion and landslips. AECOM reported that 120 ft was not adequate, a conclusion which is evident to anyone who knows the area. If the Town heeds their own consultant's report the developer will have to modify the plan.
