SAVE FORT BRAGG!!-DO NOT CHANGE THE NAME OF OUR TOWN!!

There is a current effort to change the name of Fort Bragg, California.

Fort Bragg has been the home of many wonderful and upstanding citizens for over 100 years.  Fort Bragg has supported a booming logging industry and fishing industry that provided jobs to thousands of families from all walks of life.  It is made up of people from countries across the world, including Finland, Sweden, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Spain, England,and other countries in Europe and people from Mexico, Central America, South America and Africa and our native American people.  We are a proud town that is free of racial bias.  We live in peace and harmony with all our fellow men and women.  Fort Bragg is written into our history books as a town that built itself from the ground up with the help of people from across the world and with the wisdom of our native American people.  We associate Fort Bragg with men and women of strength and of those that honor all people.

Do -NOT- change the name of our town!

Please sign this petition requesting that the name of our town FORT BRAGG CA -----NOT- be changed. The name Fort Bragg CA represents families that made the town the beautiful place that it is.  The memories over the years are of a striving, strong and prosperous coastal village that now welcomes people to experience all of it's uniqueness along the northern California coast.

Fort Bragg California is my home.  My family built over 30 homes here and we also built two lodges, one in Fort Bragg and another in nearby Cleone.  I went to school in Fort Bragg from kindergarten to my graduation from high school.  I worked for many years at MacKerricher State Park later becoming a supervising park ranger.  I treasure my town of Fort Bragg, California.
