Michael Masi is the Race Director of Formula 1. The man appointed by the FIA to make sure the races are run fairly and to the rules, while focusing on competitor/viewers safety.

During the 2021 Formula One world championship season there have been a number of questionable decisions attributed to  Mr Masi, these have included a number of incidents concerning the two championship protagonists. However, during the final race of the season Mr Masi decided to overlook the rules and established protocols to finish a race unfairly which not only took the win away from one competitor but also tainted the outcome for the other and leaving a huge dark cloud over the championship status. This was unfair to the fans, the competitors and ultimately the sport.

Michael Masi, this isn’t Vince McMahons WWE wrestling, resign or sack him!

The man who is appointed to the role of the Race Director should only follow the rules stipulated in the sporting code, not make them up on the fly. Your decisions this season have ultimately tainted a wonderful championship and the backside covering of the FIA is unacceptable. This petition isn’t designed to change the outcome of the 2021 season, however, it is hoped that the powers that be see the anger of all fans over the way the race direction of our sport has deteriorated in 2021 and a new director installed for 2022 and seasons beyond so these controversial situations never appear again.
