🚨 PLEASE SAVE THE DATE AND ATTEND: 8 OCTOBER, 6:30PM 🚨

We have now been notified of the next Tower Hamlets Council planning meeting concerning the Glenworth site.
We need parents from ALL THREE Canary Wharf College schools to attend.
Will you attend to support the wider CWC community and raise concerns about the changes to school hours across ALL THREE schools?
📅 Thursday 8 October
🕡 6:30pm
📍 Tower Hamlets Council Development Committee
UST has appealed the previous refusal, so this matter is coming back before the Council.
Why this matters to ALL CWC parents
Although the application being considered is for Glenworth, this is an important opportunity for parents from Glenworth, East Ferry AND Crossharbour to make their concerns heard.
The Council previously raised serious concerns around safeguarding, traffic, transport and the impact of school dismissal times on the surrounding community. These concerns are particularly important when considering what happens when several schools dismiss at the same time.
UST has since changed the hours and term arrangements at East Ferry and Crossharbour, despite those concerns.
Crossharbour’s own planning arrangements also contain a similar restriction around operating hours, and terms dates which makes the outcome of the Glenworth application relevant beyond Glenworth itself.
We want to use this opportunity to ask the Council to look at the cumulative impact across all three schools and whether the changes already made can and should be reconsidered in light of the safeguarding and community concerns that have been raised.
So please don’t assume this meeting is only for Glenworth parents.
If you have children at any of the three CWC schools, or if you are a neighbor that will be/ has been impacted negatively by these changes please come on 8 October. The more parents who attend, the clearer it is that this is a whole-CWC community issue, not an isolated Glenworth matter.
