Atewa Range Forest Reserve, in the Eastern Region of Ghana is  globally recognised as one  of the prime areas  accommodating species diversity & a hub of natural resources.

The forest contains over 2000 (animals & plant species); essential in maintaining ecological stability & balance. Besides it's contribution to the regulation of global climate temperatures, it also provides  food & habitat for animals.

Many communities also depend on the forest for medicine, clean air and water.

Atewa forest is currently being suppressed & degraded by human activities such as logging ,hunting & poaching, mining; thus have endangered the lives of the animal species- their survival & sustenance

Animals deserve to live free from harm and suffering. It's a top-priority that we find a way to reach the demands of a global appetite without  decimating our forests. 

The goal of saving Atewa should be to defend animals in the possession of their rights, providing them with the opportunity to live their own life, as best as they can.
