Við, undirrituð, krefjumst þess að íslenska ríkið fordæmi án tafar árásir ísraelska hersins á saklausa borgara Gaza og fari fram á tafarlausa stöðvun á hernaðaraðgerðum ísraelskra stjórnvalda.

Á síðustu dögum hafa meira en 1000 palestínsk börn verið drepin í linnulausum sprengjuárásum ísraelska hersins á Gaza. Á aðeins rúmri viku hefur Ísraelsher varpað fleiri sprengjum á Gaza en notaðar hafa verið í árásum Rússa á Úkraínu síðan 2022.

Sprengjum hafa verið varpað á fjölda skóla, spítala, bænhúsa, íbúðarblokka, á fólk á flótta sem og á sjúkrabifreiðar og sjúkraliða. We, the undersigned, demand that the Icelandic state immediately condemn the attacks of the Israeli army on innocent civilians in Gaza and call for an immediate cessation of the military actions of the Israeli authorities.

In recent days, more than 1,000 Palestinian children have been killed in indiscriminate bombing raids by the Israeli army in Gaza. In just over a week, the Israeli army has dropped more bombs on Gaza than were used in Russian attacks on Ukraine since 2022.

Bombs have been dropped on numerous schools, hospitals, places of worship, apartment buildings, on displaced people, as well as on ambulances and medical personnel. Dozens of employees of the Red Crescent and the United Nations have been killed, as well as journalists, and many Palestinian children have lost their families. 45 large Palestinian families have been wiped out, none of their members are alive.

The Israeli authorities have cut off electricity, water, food, and medical supplies to Gaza. Hospitals cannot cope with the number of wounded and dead, and without emergency assistance, the death toll will continue to rise.

Nothing justifies the killing of innocent civilians. The actions of the Israeli army are violations of international law, they are war crimes and crimes against humanity.

Every hour that nothing is done, a number of innocent civilians in Gaza die. Every hour that the international community does not respond, Palestinian children die.

Let's send a clear message. We condemn the actions of the Israeli authorities, demand that Israeli military operations cease immediately, and that emergency aid be provided to the Palestinians in Gaza right away!
