Remove The Lion Guard from Lion King canon

Remove The Lion Guard from Lion King canon
The Issue
In 2015, Disney introduced a Lion King TV. show on Disney Junior called The Lion Guard. The main character is Simba and Nala's second born cub and first son, Kion. This show is said to take place in the time gap in The Lion King II: Simba's Pride. Disney has stated that this show is canon to the story from the films. Now, the problem is, several things in the show prevent it from being canon. First, taking place during the second movie does not make sense. Mostly because that leaves the question of where the Lion Guard was during Kiara's adolescent years. That, and the personalities of some of the main characters from the films. First, Simba. When Simba became king, his mind wasn't completely set on that fact, and he wasn't someone to take it too far, which is exactly what he does in The Lion Guard. In "Bunga and the King", Bunga says "Duh", which offends Simba for some reason. Unlike Lion King Simba, who would've just warned him not to say it if it offends him, he got mad and used the phrase "I am the king", which is what Scar would've done. Simba is now obsessed with the fact that he's king. Another bad change is his relationship with his daughter Kiara. He's obsessed with the fact that she's future queen. Lion King Simba is actually graceful to her, teaching her about the facts of life and was an overprotective father to her. Even fans of Simba hate him in The Lion Guard. Next ruined character is Kiara. She is obsessed with the fact that she's future queen and calls Kion "Little Brother" and is essentially bratty. Lion King Kiara is happy, not bratty. She didn't care much about being future queen, and just wanted to have fun. She was even willing to sacrifice being queen to be with Kovu. When the second movie's main antagonist, Zira, was hanging onto a cliff Kiara landed on after they both took a tumble, despite everything Zira had done, including attempting to kill her father, she still tried to save Zira, and only failed because Zira didn't accept her help. Next is Nala. Nala couldn't take on a bunch of teenage hyenas, yet she was able to pin Simba down three times, twice as a cub, and once as an adolescent. She also pinned down Vitani in the second movie. Next, Zira. When Kion Zira and her Pride are blasted away, they land in termaite mounds, when they were already in termite mounds when Kovu and Kiara first met. When Kion first met Zira, Zira acted all excited to meet Simba's son, evening calling it an honor, compared to when she saw Kiara with Kovu, where she was MAD. She then tried to get Kion to join her, and when he insulted Scar by saying he was never the true king, she ordered her lionesses to attack him, but she offered to forgive him if he joined her. The true Zira would've NEVER forgiven him for that, and would've either let her lionesses attack him, or she would've done so herself. Kion would've definitely been killed for saying that about Scar. And speaking of Scar, he is the last one. According to a personality description, Scar is willing to turn the Pride Lands into chaos to get revenge, and when he is singing "I Have a Plan", the Pride Lands are shown to be burning down in a break from reality. That was NEVER his plan. Scar only wanted to rule the Pride Lands, and would only kill if he needed to. He only did what he needed to do, to get where he got to in the first movie. Finally, The Lion Guard has a Christmas episode. How do animals know about and understand Christmas? Plus, they are in Africa in the Serengeti. There shouldn't be snow. Altogether The Lion Guard cannot be canon. If you believe this, sign the petition and you can help get Disney to admit The Lion Guard is not canon.
