4WD of the Year Ford Everest not a Off-road Vehicle!!

4WD of the Year Ford Everest not a Off-road Vehicle!!
The issue
Ford Australia have misled their customers and the media about their Ford Everest. Customers have spent over 50k and upwards of 70k on a vehicle that was advertised, & even badged, as a 4WD. Customers have spent money on their 4WD to modify it for off-road use.
But the Ford Everest is not a 4WD or an Off-road vehicle.
Under the Australian Design Rules legislation, Ford Australia have asked that the classification for the Ford Everest be 'MA,' which means a passenger vehicle. Specifically:
4.3.1. PASSENGER CAR (MA) A passenger vehicle, not being an off-road passenger vehicle or a forward-control passenger vehicle, having up to 9 seating positions, including that of the driver.
Ford Australia introduced the Everest 4WD in 2015. It won awards as 'Car of the Year' and '4WD of the Year.' But it does not deserve them. Ford Australia did not classify the Everest with the Australian Design Rules (ADR) as a 4WD (MC classification like Toyota Prado and Fortuner, Isuzu MUX etc) but as a Passenger Car (MA classification).

This article shows the major ramifications this has, and will have, to its owners. Tyres, insurance and modifications are all affected through the MA passenger car classification.
I am petitioning Ford Australia to recognize they have made a mistake, falsely advertised and extorted people for money for a product less then what's paid for.
A 4WD the Ford Everest is not.
Owners of the Ford Everest are now stuck with a $50,000+ debt for a car that can't be driven, insured and modified like a 4WD should be.
I am petitioning to have Ford Australia update future Everests to have the MC classification.
I am petitioning Ford Australia to give full refunds to those who do not want a MA classified car, which is not seen in the eyes of the law as an Off-road vehicle, but wish to purchase a MC classified car (Toyota Prado, Isuzu MUX, Mitsubishi Pajero Sport).
I am petitioning Ford Australia to reimburse current Ford Everest owners who want to keep their car, 25% of their purchase price to account for the diminished resale value.
I am petitioning Ford Australia to pay for an engineering certificate to be undertaken for current Ford Everest owners who want to keep their car so current and future modifications are not seen as illegal on a MA classified passenger car.
This has affected myself (& my family) financially, as I have a debt for a car that I now cannot use and modify as advertised and intended (off-road).
It has also affected every other Ford Everest owner who has bought, &/or modified, a car for off-road use, only to find those modifications illegal for a passenger car.
The Ford Everest has a 4WD badge on the back of it, but a 4WD it is not, and I am petitioning Ford Australia to rectify the situation.
