There is an increasing volume of hateful, violent and racist content being uploaded and shared freely on social media platforms. This type of content is aimed at sowing division between people and we have already seen it leading to radicalisation and extremism around  the world, including several terrorist attacks by individuals directly influenced by social media content.

Social Media companies have a moral duty to put people before profits. They are effectively facilitating the spread of hatred and division across the world. 

Governments need to introduce regulation to force Social Media companies to take immediate action. They need to invest in moderators and technology to stop hate preachers and terrorists using their platforms to spread hatred and fear.

Live streaming should be removed immediately by all social media platforms. How would you feel if your family member was killed and their killer live streamed it across the world?
