Hi folks. Sorry for the delay in this update, I have literally given Origin Energy multiple chances to provide access to MY information. A promise was made by an Origin Energy Employee a few weeks ago, with a proper deadline which has now gone well and truly overtime. I have repeatedly requested, politely of course, to not only access my information, but also for a list of databases they have accessed and on what date to determine the scope of their search. 

Since that promise, I have been 'Ghosted' 

This leads me to think a few things, but primarily JUST WHAT DO THEY HAVE TO HIDE?

I also think that this behaviour may fit the criteria for a fairly serious criminal offence since I believe it is designed to delay things - AND ESPECIALLY the legal challenge I foreshadowed with them. Talk about dirty tactics!

The thing is, companies like Origin Energy engage in tactics like this BECAUSE THEY CAN AND DO GET AWAY WITH IT WITHOUT ANY CONSEQUENCES.

From here, I will now update my complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner. The trouble with this is that the OAIC is well and truly overloaded with complaints and their current processing time is over 18 months. I just wonder how much 'information' goes 'missing' in the meantime.
