As a content creator, a particular scene in 'The Acolyte' affected me profoundly. An overweight Jedi observes a man from a close distance with binoculars as the man stares right back at him. Then a big fight breaks out, but the husky Jedi, WHO'S STARING AT HIM WITH BINOCULARS, is somehow oblivious to all it. To me, this was very profound and I dare say "life-changing" and is just one of many reasons for me to advocate for the renewal of 'The Acolyte'.

We savored the raw storytelling, scientific accuracy, trees that appear to have testicles, and the fake out where everyone thought the bad guy couldn't be Aisra Miller because it was way to obvious THEN BAM IT REALLY WAS HIM. There was even the guy that wanted to go home really bad, which I can relate to because sometimes I'm not at home when home is where I would rather be.

There are a hundred, possibly MILLIONS, of examples to explain the depth of season 1 which is all owed to the brilliant writers. Hence, retaining the same writing team is pivotal to preserve the originality of the show. 

Furthermore, I propose that Steven Seagal, though I am not his keen follower, be given the creative reins as well as a starring role. Whether he takes over the OSHA/MAE role, plays Yoda, or more likely an ex-CIA NAVY SEAL operative with a mysterious past that the ladies can't resist. The options are endless! (but it will definitely be the last one). His reputation as a guy that used to be famous can provide a fresh perspective, raising the show's quality even higher. Moreover, Disney should recognize the importance of diversity and inclusivity in modern storytelling and extend their commitment to an ensemble voice cast to do all of Steven's ADR because he can't be bothered.

For audiences around the globe, this series is a beacon igniting creativity, easy content for creators, and inspiring a deeper connection to the collective human condition, and really liking cookies.

So I urge Disney: bring back 'The Acolyte' with its original writers and the leadership of Steven Seagal with his own diverse voice cast. Let's foster an environment where great content can flourish. This is the time to act. Please sign this petition and let's convince Disney together.
