Petition updateForce Colorado Springs to Repair the Barr TrailINCOMPLETE PUBLIC COMMENT PROCESS
COS Land Swap
Sep 24, 2023

Hello,

This is my contribution to Citizen's Discussion at Tuesday's City Council meeting:

Good morning,

What is the estimated cost of all needed repairs to the section of the Barr Trail that the city acquired in the land swap?

The city has owned this land for six and a half years, why have you not had a drainage study done yet?

How much will a drainage study cost?

How much will it cost to replace the fence along the trail?

How much will it cost to repair the erosion damage on the hillside once the drainage has been improved?

I have been asking for this information for seven and one-half years.

I asked for it during the public comment process in 2016.

The City Council approved the land swap while refusing to provide this information.

That invalidates its approval.

The public comment process is invalid because the city refused to provide this relevant financial information.

The city must provide me with the estimated cost of all needed repairs to this land.

The public must be informed that this information was withheld before the land swap was approved.

Thank you, Carl Strow
