The petition opposing a resevation system for the Incline is doing well.
I am shocked that no one is defending Manitou Springs officials in this.
The USFS, Colorado Springs Parks dept, Incline Friends or others.
Had the Manitou Springs Task Force told the public that they would allow 400,000 people to over run the Barr Trail in a year the Incline would never have been legally opened.
I only withdrew my opposition to the legal opening of the Incline because we were led to believe that once legal the Incline would have less of an impact on the Barr Trail. Seven years later they are many times more Incline users coming down the Barr Trail.
It appears that all parties are trying to turn the community against the City of Manitou Springs by saying nothing at all of the truth publicly.
I fear retaliation against City Officials and property in Manitou Springs.
Am I the only one who sees abundant justification for a fee based reservation system?
